This piece was created shortly after my trip to Okinawa island, where I grew up and visit family often. Hibiscus are a tropical plant that represent beauty, transformation, and passion. This was painted at a huge turning point in my life, and like a flower, I grew and changed so much. I hope this piece reminds you of the beauty in change.
